Brigadier General Justin Ifeanyi on Thursday, 30 January 2025, assumed office as the 12th Commander of 32 Artillery Brigade Nigerian Army (NA).
Gatekeepers News reports that this was revealed in a statement by Njoka Irabor, Major Assistant Director of Army Public Relations of 32 Artillery Brigade.
The colourful handing and taking over ceremony was held at the 32 Artillery Brigade Headquarters, Owena Cantonment Akure, Ondo State.
In his farewell remarks, the outgone Commander, Major General John Lar who is proceeding to Army Headquarters Department of Special Services and Programmes, thanked officers and soldiers of the Brigade for the immense support and cooperation he enjoyed during his tenure as Brigade Commander.
He acknowledged their professionalism, dedication, and collective contributions which played a vital role in his recent elevation to the enviable rank of a Major General in the NA. He urged the officers and soldiers to extend similar cooperation and support to the new Commander to enable him to succeed as he pilots the affairs of the Brigade.
Making his remarks during the handing and taking over ceremony, the Commander 32 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Ifeanyi called on officers and soldiers of the Brigade to place Service and National interest above personal interest.
Ifeanyi appreciated the efforts of the outgone Commander in moving the Brigade to greater heights and promised to improve on what his predecessor had done.
He lauded the remarkable and transformative drive of the outgone Commander and thanked him for all his efforts in shaping the Brigade.
The commander further expressed his admiration for the wealth of experience and leadership qualities of his predecessor and wished him well as he proceeds to take up his new appointment.
Highlights of the event include the signing of handing and taking over notes, decoration of the new Commander with the Brigade insignia, handing over of the Brigade flag as well as address to troops.
The event was graced by Corps members serving in the Brigade and members of the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association 32 Brigade Chapter, who made a token presentation to the outgone Commander.
