The family of Nigerian singer, Innocent Ujah Idibia popularly known as 2Face has filed a petition to Yusuf Magaji, director-general of Department of State Services (DSS) over his “sudden disappearance”.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Idibia family in the petition, said the singer had been missing since February 10.
According to them; he left his residence in his loungewear as if he was going for habitual walk, but is yet to return home.
The family described his action as “strange”, noting that he usually goes out with bodyguards and protocol.
They expressed concern that several friends claimed that they had received messages from 2Face’s social media accounts asking for financial assistance which was unlike him.
The singer’s family added that they suspect he might have been abducted or his identity compromised, and appealed to the DSS to take immediate action.
Recall that 2Face recently announced his separation from his wife, Annie Macauley, and disclosed they are about ti get divorced..
The singer also proposed to Natasha Osawaru in a viral video on Wednesday, after disclosing that he loves the Edo state legislator and wants to marry her.
However on Thursday, Rose Idibia, 2Face’s mother, publicly pleaded with Natasha to free her son and expressed concern about his state of mind amid his marital issue.
She said, “Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs Rose Idibia, the mother of 2face. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son.”
“My son is going through a divorce process, and he is clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son well. That is not him.”
“Please Natasha, the beads you put on his hand and on his neck, remove them and free him.”
Natasha Osawaru is a politician and lawyer from Edo state. She is the daughter of Desmond Osawaru and Philomina Osawaru, and grandfather of the billionaire, Gabriel Igbinedion.
