Job Specifications:

Job Description:

• Oversee the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of all metal works for machinery, equipment, and structural systems, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards
• Perform metal works and repairs on all external warehouse infrastructures, coordinate with warehouse management to address mechanical issues, and conduct regular inspections to ensure optimal operations and resolve any identified problems

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of all metal works for machinery, equipment, and structural systems, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.
• Oversee the fabrication, installation, and repair of sandwich panel boards for cold storage rooms, warehouses, and production areas, ensuring efficient insulation, energy conservation, and compliance with building regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain, repair, and fabricate rubber curtain strips for partitioning, environmental control, and safety in production areas, ensuring effective sealing and functionality to meet operational and safety requirements.
• Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot roller shutter doors for factory entrances, WIP areas, and loading zones, ensuring smooth operation, safety compliance, and coordination with production teams for seamless access.
• Perform metal works and repairs on all external warehouse infrastructures, coordinate with warehouse management to address mechanical issues, and conduct regular inspections to ensure optimal operations and resolve any identified problems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for metal structures, sandwich panel boards, rubber curtains, and roller shutter doors, troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime, and document activities while reporting any major challenges.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for all mechanical works, maintain a safe environment through proper use of PPEs and safety protocols, and stay current with industry standards and regulations.
• Assist in managing the budget for mechanical maintenance and fabrication projects, identify cost-effective materials for repairs and fabrication, and maintain accurate records of material usage and inventory.
• Lead mechanical engineering projects to improve operational efficiency, provide technical expertise during new machinery installations, metal fabrication works and monitor project progress to ensure timely, on-budget, and specification-compliant completion.
• Maintain detailed records of all mechanical work, including maintenance and repair logs, materials and service request logs, escalate any issue and follow up with parties involved.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• BSC or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related courses.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in a standard manufacturing environment especially FMCG or Mechanical construction company.
