Former Edo State Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has commended Governor Okpebholo for his remarkable achievements within his first 100 days in office.
In a congratulatory message, Oshiomhole lauded the governor’s leadership, describing it as purposeful and focused on the progress of Edo State.
Highlighting key accomplishments, Oshiomhole praised the administration’s swift interventions in infrastructure, security, education, and healthcare. He particularly acknowledged the resumption of high-quality road construction, the decision to build a flyover at Ramat Park, and the ongoing repair of the Benin-Auchi Expressway, stating that these projects reflect a commitment to long-term development.
Oshiomhole also commended Okpebholo’s proactive approach to tackling criminality and cultism, as well as his efforts in recruiting teachers and strengthening healthcare services. Notably, he celebrated the governor’s appointment of judges previously approved by the National Judicial Council but deliberately ignored by the past administration. This, he said, demonstrates Okpebholo’s respect for the rule of law and the principle of separation of powers.
The former governor further expressed satisfaction with the return to durable, high-standard road construction, correcting what he described as the legacy of poorly executed projects over the past eight years.
“With these significant strides in just 100 days, you have laid a strong foundation and reinforced public confidence in your administration,” Oshiomhole stated, expressing optimism that Edo State is on the path to prosperity under Okpebholo’s leadership.
