President Bola Tinubu has appointed Saviour Enyiekere as the chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) and several members from different geopolitical zones.
Gatekeepers News reports that the development was announced in a statement on Thursday by Bayo Onanuga, the president’s special adviser on information and strategy.
Enyiekere, who previously served as the deputy chief of staff to Senate President Godswill Akpabio and is an environmental specialist, will hold the chairmanship for a five-year term, which is subject to renewal.
In addition to Enyiekere’s appointment, the president has named two members to the commission from each of Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
Similar to the chairperson, these members will also serve a five-year term that can be renewed.
