Former lawmaker representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Senator Lawal Yahaya Gumau is dead.
Gatekeepers News reports that the former legislator died after a brief illness at the age of 57 in Abuja.
Senator Gumau first represented the senatorial district in 2018 after winning a by-election following the death of Senator Ali Wakili.
The former legislator was re-elected as a senator during 2019 general elections and served until 2023.
