Roberta Flack, legendary pop/R&B vocalist best known for her ‘Killing Me Softly With His Song’ hit, has passed away
Gatekeepers News reports that her representatives in a statement, disclosed that the 88 year old singer died peacefully surrounded by her family in New York on Monday.
The statement reads, “are heartbroken that the glorious Roberta Flack passed away this morning, February 24.”
“She died peacefully surrounded by her family.”
“Roberta broke boundaries and records. She was also a proud educator.”
Flack was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease in 2022 and was unable to sing and had difficulty speaking.
