JAMB Reveals Date For 2022 UTME Registration
Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that the registration period for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will conclude on March 8, 2025, with no possibility of extensions.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Initially, the registration process for both the UTME and Direct Entry (DE) was scheduled to begin on January 31, but was later adjusted to February 3. The deadline for registration was moved from March 5 to March 8, and this change has been communicated through official advertisements and the examination calendar.

Fabian Benjamin, the board’s head of public affairs and protocol, encouraged prospective candidates to complete their registration as soon as possible, highlighting a concerning decrease in registration numbers. The board cautioned that delaying registration until the last minute could lead to missing the chance to participate in the examination.

“So far, over 1.5 million candidates have successfully registered, in line with the board’s projections for the 2025 examination cycle,” he said.

Benjamin stressed that JAMB’s calendar is fixed, with subsequent activities—including the examination, results processing, and the admissions exercise—coordinated with other agencies.

“Extending the registration deadline would disrupt these plans and affect multiple stakeholders,” he added.

“JAMB has reiterated its commitment to maintaining the registration deadline and advised all candidates to complete their registration on time.”

JAMB, in January, announced that its mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) is scheduled for April 5. The main UTME will take place from April 25 through May 5, while the sales of application documents for Direct Entry candidates will commence on March 10 and will close on April 7.
