Abdul-Azeez Adediran, better known as Jandor, who was the governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State during the 2023 general election, has announced his resignation from the party.
Gatekeepers News reports that Jandor, at a press briefing held at Liberty Place in Ikeja, Lagos, cited indiscipline and anti-party activities as primary reasons for his departure, indicating that such behaviors have become prevalent within the party.
Accompanied by a significant number of supporters, Jandor emphasised that his decision to leave the PDP was influenced by the actions of certain party leaders, notably the former Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George, who he accused of working against the interests of the PDP during the 2023 elections.
“We will consult widely with everybody and then take the decision to collapse our structure to another platform. What is majority on the ground now is that we have left the Peoples Democratic Party,” Jandor stated.
This is a developing story…
