Liverpool displayed a thrilling second-half comeback to secure a 3-1 victory over Southampton in their English Premier League (EPL) encounter at Anfield on Saturday.
Gatekeepers News reports that Southampton, which has the least points, took the lead in the first half before the goals from the Reds players; Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah (brace).
Despite Southampton taking the lead through Will Smallbone just before halftime, Liverpool responded strongly after the break.
Darwin Nunez equalised in the 52nd minute before winning a penalty that Mohamed Salah converted just a minute later. Salah later sealed the win with another spot-kick late in the game.
The win made the Reds points at 70, 16 points ahead of second-placed Arsenal who have played two matches less.
In a different match, Nottingham Forest won 1-0, a hard-fought victory, against Manchester City at the City Ground.
Meanwhile, Brighton won 2-1 against Fulham, while Crystal Palace secured a narrow 1-0 win over Ipswich.
