Manchester United and Arsenal played a 1-1 draw in their English Premier League (EPL) match at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Gatekeepers News reports that Bruno Fernandes, Man United captain broke the deadlock of a slow first half at the stroke of halftime, bending in a 20-yard free kick to give Manchester United a 1-0 lead.
Both clubs increased their attack intensity in the second half with Martin Odegaard first testing Andre Onana who responded with a fingertip save.
United created several chances but were denied by Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya. The Spaniard produced excellent stops to deny Noussair Mazraoui’s powerful strike and Joshua Zirkzee’s flicked effort.
In the 75th minute, Declan Rice fired a precise shot into the far corner beyond Onana, leveling the score at 1-1. Although it seemed the visitors were likely to score, Gabriel Martinelli dishes an opportunity after Onana spilled a routine shot. United nearly snatched victory at the end, but Fernandes’ late effort was saved in two attempts by Raya, sealing a point for each side.
Meanwhile, Marc Cucurella’s 60th-minute strike secured a 1-0 victory for Chelsea over Leicester City.
Chelsea moved up to fourth position, two points ahead of fifth-placed Manchester City, while Leicester City remain in 19th place.
