National working committee (NWC) of Peoples Democratic Party has rescheduled the national executive committee (NEC) meeting from March 13 to May 15.
Gatekeepers News reports that Sunday Udeh-Okoye, national secretary of the party, announced this in a statement on Sunday.
Udeh-Okoye noted that various organs of the party, including the board of trustees (BoT), governors’ forum, and national assembly caucus, were consulted before the NEC meeting was shifted.
The secretary noted that the postponement would allow the party to conclude the pending zonal, state, local government, and ward congresses.
This is the third time NWC, led by Umar Damagum, acting national chairman has postponed NEC meeting since September 2024.
