Victor Osimhen delivered a stellar performance by scoring a hat-trick in Galatasaray’s 4-0 triumph against Antalyaspor during their Turkish Super Lig match.
Gatekeepers News reports that he 26-year-old striker showcased his scoring prowess as Galatasaray dominated their opponents at RAMS Park on Friday. Osimhen initiated the scoring in the 30th minute, converting a close-range opportunity after eluding Antalyaspor’s defense to receive a squared ball from teammate Alvaro Morata.
Morata extended Galatasaray’s lead by scoring from the penalty spot in the 45th minute, successfully deceiving goalkeeper Kenan Pirić with his kick.
Just before halftime, Osimhen found the net again, this time benefiting from a pass by Baris Yilmaz that echoed the setup of his first goal.
Osimhen completed his hat-trick in the 52nd minute, receiving a well-timed pass from Yunus Akgün, which he deftly controlled before firing the ball into the bottom corner of the net. This goal marked his 20th league goal for Galatasaray, allowing him to surpass Krzysztof Piątek of Istanbul Basaksehir as the leading goalscorer in the competition.
This victory positioned Galatasaray 10 points ahead of Fenerbahce, currently in second place in the Turkish league standings.
