Bayo Onanuga, special adviser on information and strategy to the president, has said Tinubu would not be distracted by a coalition of selfish politicians.
Gatekeepers News reports that Onanuga made the statement in response to Vice-President Atiku Abubakar’s disclosure that he and other opposition politicians will form a coalition to challenge All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027.
Onanuga in a statement posted on X on Thursday, Onanuga dismissed the coalition as a group driven by personal interests rather than national progress.
The presidential aide saidTinubu is focused on building a prosperous country, adding that two months to his midterm, he has many solid achievements to showcase, with intractable problems being tackled headlong.
He wrote, “He cannot be distracted by the so-called coalition of politicians. They are not politicians after the Public Good. It’s all about their self-interest.”
“They are disgruntled. They are a frustrated lot. The leaders are sore losers. The coalition is an amalgam of Tinubu haters. Their agenda is to stop Tinubu.”
