Job Description:
- The Electrical Inspector primary objective is to coordinate and control execution of inspections, analyze all process and auxiliary equipment so that the condition of each piece of equipment can be monitored and maintained at a high level of operating performance.
What you’ll be doing
- The Inspector communicates regularly with the operations personnel to gain information on any problems or concerns they may have about the equipment and the way it is affecting the process.
- The incumbent also analyses situations to determine whether it is a mechanical, electrical or operating problem and recommends solutions to correctly utilize all resources available.
- Studies equipment problems and recommends modi fi cations or replacements of it.
- Investigates repetitive problems and initiates corrective maintenance procedures.
- Continually informs Production, Process and Maintenance of the operating condition of equipment and advises those responsible when a piece of equipment should be shut down in order to prevent damage to said equipment or injury to any of the plant personnel.
- The incumbent will ensure compliance with safety practices and procedures, availability of safety equipment and that first aid treatm ent is provided when required.
- The incumbent is responsible and should have data pertaining to reliability so that he can analyze, and advise departments on the information needed to perform RCFA (i.e. vibrations, temperatures, hours, causes, Pareto charts etc.)
- Ensures that there has been a work order entered in CMMS to cover adjustments or repairs to equipment, checks for the proper equipment number, adequate description of the request, appropriate priority code and workshop or plant code.
- Administers a Thermo graphic Analysis Program for all critical pieces of electrical equipment and reports results to all concerned including recommendations when required.
- Preparation of the daily work schedule for the PPM tasks in accordance with equipment needs while utilizing CMMS to document and monitor equipment history files
- The incumbent participates in the administration of a Plant Lubrication Program with a conscious effort to reduce any undesirable impact on our environment
- Assist in the planning of system atic overhauls of major equipment.
- Participate in the Maintenance Supervisor On Call Program
- Record all temperatures, pressures and any relevant information, which may be used for analysis from CCR.
- The incumbent is also the plant person in charge of the Electrical integrity of the plant’s machinery.
- Comply with EMS Methods Instrumentation activities
- Ensure involvement in the implementation and maintenance of integrated management system in the plant
- Systematic inspection and data recording of all plant equipment with follow up to appropriate people.
- Preparation of the daily work schedule for the PPM tasks in accordance with equipment needs while utilizing CMMS to document and monitor equipment history files.
- Administers a Thermo graphic Analysis Program for all critical pieces of electrical equipments and reports results to all concerned including recommendations when required.
- Carry out specific and precise duties e.g. Basic NDT inspections
- Record all temperatures, pressures and any relevant information, which may be used for analysis from CCR.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma(OND) in Electrical Engineering or 5 years of work experience in Cement manufacturing.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- For good job performance, good communication skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, resistance to stress and ability to lead employees is required
Technical competencies:

Job Description:
The Legal Counsel role will assist and support the Senior Legal Counsel in legal drafting, legal negotiation, and management of contract documents for Lafarge Africa Plc, Ashakacem Limited, Wapsila Limited, Geocycle operations, Readymix operations, and Mortar operations. This role will work closely with and support multiple members of the Legal, Commercial, Procurement, Industrial, Finance/Treasury, Project Management, and Logistics teams among others.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop standard templates for contracts, including payment terms, general terms, and conditions.
- Review, revise, and update Contract Drafting and Execution Policies to align with the Delegation of Authority and Group Standards/Policies.
- Review, mark up/draft (from scratch), negotiate, and close commercial/procurement contracts, including master service agreements, Engineering, Procurement & Construction Contracts, Power Purchase Agreements, etc.
- Oversee Drafting, and negotiating contractual terms with third-party suppliers which protect the Company from a commercial and contractual perspective including strategy, risk and mitigation analysis, internal reviews, and liaison with all subject matter experts in their various disciplines.
- Stay abreast of legal developments affecting the company, its clients, and industries and synthesize the information to incorporate it into the company’s transactions.
- Educate company’s executives as regards legal and risk management issues with regard to Contract Documents.
- Structure third-party transactions to be most advantageous to the company from a legal and business perspective.
- Counsel, advise, and consult company executives based on the accurate interpretation of contract documents and the facts of a business opportunity.
- Be responsible for updating, managing, and utilizing the Document Management System- the documentation execution process registry for all contracts across the business.
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal/commercial contract advice to internal clients.
- Apply innovative problem-solving skills and practical business judgment to minimize risks.
- Collaborate with and facilitate cross-team decision-making among legal, finance, and other teams within the business.
- Develop, assess, and negotiate contracts on non-disclosure, consulting, service, consignments, terms and conditions, and commercial documents.
- Ensure consistency of contract terms with company policies and goals.
- Expedite and review contracts from the company’s suppliers, customers, and parties.

- Ownership, collaboration, innovation, and improvement in the Contract Drafting Process.
- Standardize all Contract templates.
- Communicate improvements and variations in Contracts as required by law and regulations or due to new Contract claims.
- Establish Contract Document Control and ensure Compliance with Contracting Policy.
- Timely delivery of Contract templates and drafts.
- Maintain Contracts and Advance Payment Guarantee Database.
- Update the Contract Master Data Sheet to monitor the contract drafting and execution process.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Degree in Law, Master degree an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-bar work experience with at least 3 years in a top-tier commercial law firm
- Experience working in a fast-paced, fluid, and collegial corporate culture
- Experience negotiating commercial and complex contracts
- Demonstrate ability to handle and close commercial and legal negotiations.
- Demonstrated success working in a high-performing, business results-driven environment
