Air Algèrie To Begin Flight Operations To Nigeria April 6

Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has issued a foreign carrier operating permit (FCOP) to Air Algèrie, Algeria’s national airline.

Gatekeepers News reports that this will facilitate improved air connectivity between Nigeria and Algeria.

NCAA through a post on X on Tuesday, announced that the permit was presented during a meeting between Chris Najomo, director-general (DG) of the agency, and Hocine Mezoued, ambassador of People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

The authority noted that the discussion focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the aviation sector.

It wrote, “A key highlight of the meeting was the presentation of a Foreign Carrier Operating Permit (FCOP) to Air Algérie, the national airline of Algeria, enabling expanded connectivity, fostering economic ties, and strengthening mutual partnership.”

“Additionally, approval was granted for a new flight route connecting Algeria-Nigeria-Douala, Cameroon.”

NCAA added that the inaugural flight on the route, operated by Air Algèrie, will commence on April 6, marking a new era of strengthened ties and improved air travel between Nigeria and Algeria.
