President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new members to the governing council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).
Gatekeepers News reports that this development was made public by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement released on Thursday.
The appointments are part of Tinubu’s initiative to strengthen the NCDMB’s role in fostering local content within the oil and gas sector. The newly appointed board members come in following the departure of previous representatives from various organizations.
Onanuga emphasized the NCDMB’s commitment to enhancing its responsibilities, which include promoting Nigerian participation in the oil and gas industry.
The new appointees are expected to leverage their expertise to facilitate the growth of local content within the sector.
The newly appointed members of the NCDMB board are:
1. Olusegun Omosehin from the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).
2. Wole Ogunsanya of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN).
3. Sam Azoka Onyechi, representing the Nigerian Content Consultative Forum (NCCF).
4. Owei Oyanbo from the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
