Emana Ambrose-Amawhe, Deputy Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River during the last general elections, has resigned her membership from the party with immediately effect.
Gatekeepers News reports that Emana, in her resignation letter dated March 28, 2025, addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman, Edem Odo, Akpabuyo LGA in Cross River State, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the party’s growth and serve as Deputy Governorship candidate.
Emana described her time with the PDP as a “privilege” and appreciated the relationships and experiences gained.
“However, after much reflection in the light of the current state of affairs within the party, I believe it is time for me to move on.
“The decision was not made lightly, but I remain committed to serving my community and contributing to the progress of our state and nation in other capacities,” she noted.
