Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole has extended heartfelt congratulations to Nigerian Muslims as they celebrate the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Senator representing Edo North in the upper house greeted Nigerian Muslims on the special occasion in a goodwill message made available to the press on Sunday.
Oshiomhole acknowledged the significance of Ramadan as a month characterised by fasting, almsgiving, abstinence, spiritual cleansing, and deep reflection in faith.
The Senator urged Muslims to continue embodying the teachings of peace, love, tolerance, selflessness, mercy, and compassion, values championed by the Holy Prophet Muhammed.
According to Oshiomhole; these principles are the enduring core values of Islam and essential for fostering harmony within society.
He emphasised the importance of unity and collective prayers, encouraging Muslims to seek divine guidance for the peace, development, and progress of Nigeria.
The Senator said, “As we come together to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, may the spirit of this holy occasion bring joy to your hearts and happiness to your homes.”
“Let us cherish the blessings of togetherness and the values of compassion and generosity that this day represents.”
“May your lives be filled with peace, prosperity, and an abundance of blessings.”
As the celebrations unfold, Oshiomhole’s message serves as a reminder of the power of unity and the importance of upholding the values that bind the nation together, especially during this significant time of reflection and renewal amongst Muslim faithfuls.
