Kogi state government has announced a ban on rallies and public gatherings in the state due to credible security reports.
Gatekeepers News reports that Kingsley Fanwo, commissioner for information made the announcement in a statement on Monday.
Fanwo said the move is to prevent any form of security breach that might destabilise the state.
The ban comes ahead of the scheduled homecoming ceremony of Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Kogi central senator, set for Tuesday.
