Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said the petition seeking to recall Natasha Akpoti-Uduahan, the suspended senator representing Kogi Central, didn’t meet the constitutional requirement.
Gatekeepers News reports that the electoral body announced this in a statement on Thursday.
Referencing section 69(a) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), which outlines the conditions for recalling a lawmaker, INEC noted that the petition failed to fulfill these requirements.
