7 Die- 4 Injure In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Accident

Seven people died, while four people were injured in an accident around Ibafo axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Saturday.

Gatekeepers News reports that the accident which occurred around 7 a.m., involved a Mack Truck marked SEY363YY, a tanker with registration number T2900LA, and a yellow bus marked LSD180YA.

Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC), Ogun Sector Command, Fasakin Akinwumi confirmed the incident in a statement through the Public Education Officer, Mrs Florence Okpe.

Akinwunmi said the multiple crash was caused by excessive speed on the part of the Mack truck which led to loss of control and rammed into the other two vehicles.

He noted that the injured victims had been taken to the private health facilities inĀ Ibafo, while the dead bodies were taken to a private morgue in Sagamu.

The commander who visited the crash scene for further investigation, sympathised with the families of the crash victims.
