Joy Mojisola Raimi, the reigning Miss Osun, has been crowned Miss World Nigeria 2025.
Gatekeepers News reports that the winner was announced by Guy Murray-Bruce, COO of Silverbird Group
The grand finale was held at Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, on Friday evening.
Thirty-seven (37) contestants from across the country competed for the title. They dazzled in various attire, including native dresses and sports wear.
Twenty (20) contestants remained as finallists, including Oluwatoyin Ibitoye, Miss Kogi; Shelly Usman, Miss Imo; and Mmesoma Anosike, Miss Adamawa.
In the final round, Raimi faced off against Miss Imo, Miss Ebonyi, Miss Abuja, and Miss Abia.
When asked about overcoming bullying, Raimi revealed that she grew up without a mother and faced abuse from her caregiver.
She said, “As a child who grew up without a mother, I was intimidated and harassed by my caregiver who was supposed to stand in as my mother.”
“She told me I would never amount to anything.”
But I am here today on this world stage doing what I know how to do best. And all I can say is whatever God has destined you to be, nobody can say otherwise.”
As Miss World Nigeria 2025, Raimi will represent Nigeria at 72nd Miss World pageant which will be held from May 7 to 31 in Hyderabad, India.
