Nigerian singer, David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido has announced his white wedding date with his wife Chioma.
Gatekeepers News reports that in an interview with Breakfast Club, the singer disclosed that the wedding will be held in August 2025 in Miami.
He said, “I’m doing my white wedding in Miami, in August this year.”
“Our traditional marriage shut down Nigeria because our relationship was in the public eye, and a lot have happened, apart from losing our child.”
Speaking on his rift with Tiwa Savage, the singer said their fallout stemmed from a custody dispute between him and Sophia, one of his baby mamas, during which he expected her to help him gain access to his daughter.
Describing the altercation as a minor “sibling-like argument,” he emphasized that the situation has been resolved, and he holds Tiwa in high regard for her significant contributions to the music industry.
He said, “Tiwa Savage and I used to stay in the same house; she is my big sister. She saw me as a youngling.”
“The situation with Tiwa was personal. She is a good friend of the mother of my first daughter. So, when we were in a quarrel over custody, I felt Tiwa could help me see my daughter, so we got into a little argument.”
“It was nothing. It was just like a brother and sister arguing. I haven’t seen her since then, but she did reach out.”
“I love her child, I saw him grow up. Tiwa is an amazing person; she changed the game for females in the industry, and she will always have that respect.”
“That’s my sister. I will never let anything happen to her.”
Davido proposed to Chioma in 2019. They however tied the knot traditionally in June 2024.
