President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met with Massad Boulos, US department senior advisor for Africa, in France.
Gatekeepers News reports that Bayo Onanuga, special adviser on information and strategy to the President, said the meeting was held on Thursday in Paris.
Announcing the meeting in a post on X, US mission in Nigeria said the meeting centered on how Africa can build lasting partnerships to achieve peace in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
President Tinubu and Boulos also discuss avenues for expanding opportunities for economic cooperation in the continent.
It wrote, “State department senior advisor for Africa Massad Boulos met with President Tinubu on Thursday to discuss regional security including working together with partners to build a durable peace in eastern DRC.”
“They also discussed expanding opportunities for economic cooperation throughout Africa.”
Recall that President Tinubu departed for France on a two-week working visit on April 2.
He is expected to assess the progress of his administration’s ongoing reforms and lead strategic discussions ahead of the second anniversary of his tenure.
