Easter: Be Ambassadors Of Love And Hope— Oshiomhole To Christians

Adams Oshiomhole

Adams Oshiomhole, Senator representing Edo North, has urged Christians across the country to exemplify the teachings of their faith

Gatekeepers News reports that Oshiomhole, in his Easter message to Nigerians, conveyed through his Chief of Staff, Victor Oshioke, asked them to be true ambassadors of love, hope, and compassion in their daily lives.

Oshiomhole emphasised that the true essence of religious devotion lies not in outward rituals but in the sincere practice of Christ’s teachings.

He noted that if adherents of both Christianity and Islam genuinely embraced the core tenets of their faith which centers on love, compassion, forgiveness, and humility, Nigeria would experience a transformation towards peaceful coexistence and unity of purpose, akin to the harmony envisioned in heaven.

According to Oshiomhole, Easter is not only a time for joyous celebration with family and friends but also a sacred period for deep reflection and spiritual renewal.

He said, “It is a time to remember God’s incredible love and the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The season calls us to renew our commitment to living selflessly, forgiving freely, and putting others before ourselves.”

The former Edo State Governor stressed the importance of showing kindness to the less privileged and offering hope to those struggling with despair.

He added, “As Christians, we must embody the values of Christ in our communities. Extending hands of fellowship to those in need is the true Christian spirit.”

Oshiomhole concluded by encouraging Nigerians to remain steadfast in faith and hopeful for a better future.

He expressed confidence that the sacrifices made by citizens are beginning to bear fruit, and he urged them to continue holding on to the renewed hope that Easter symbolises.
