Burna Boy Gifts Portable N20m For Beating Speed Darlington

Nigerian singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy has gifted Portable N20 million for winning Speed Darlington in the celebrity boxing match.

Gatekeepers News reports that the fight took place on Friday night at Balmoral Convention Centre in Victoria Island.

The fight ended in a technical knockout (TKO), with Portable declared winner after Darlington failed to rise in the second round.

The clash began with an intense first round, during which Portable dominated with aggressive punches.

In the second round, Darlington struggled to maintain his footing, ultimately collapsing and prompting referees to declare Portable the winner.

Portable had dominated the first round with a series of aggressive punches, leading to Darlington’s eventual collapse in the second.

In a recent Instagram story, the ‘Zazoo’ hitmaker expressed gratitude to Burna Boy for gifting him N20 million.

He wrote, “20 million from @burnaboygram. If you want to be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu? God bless your family.”

Recall that in November 2024, Speed Darlington was arrested over allegations of cyberstalking Burna Boy.

He had taken to social media to taunt Burna Boy for being affiliated with the embattled US rapper Sean Diddy who is facing multiple charges bordering on sexual exploitation and human trafficking.

The ‘Akamu’ crooner asked Burna Boy to explain how he got his Grammy award for his album ‘Twice As Tall’ which was executive produced by Diddy, adding that there was a sexual relationship between the duo.

He was released from prison in January after serving two months.
