Speed Darlington Calls Out Portable For Boxing Rematch

The controversial singer, Darlington Okoye popularly known as Speed Darlington has challenged his colleague, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable to a boxing rematch.

Gatekeepers News reports that the singers engaged in a celebrity boxing match on Friday night.

The fight ended in a technical knockout (TKO), with Portable declared winner after Darlington failed to rise in the second round.

The clash began with an intense first round, during which Portable dominated with aggressive punches.

In the second round, Darlington struggled to maintain his footing, ultimately collapsing and prompting referees to declare Portable the winner.

Portable had dominated the first round with a series of aggressive punches, leading to Darlington’s eventual collapse in the second.

In a video shared on Instagram after the match, Darlington expressed displeasure with the match result, saying Portable had an unfair advantage due to his rough upbringing and street-fighting experience.

He said, “It’s so unfair. I have never been in a ring before because I did not come from poverty. I never needed to learn how to fight. We didn’t need to snatch food from people, so I didn’t need to learn how to fight that’s why it looks like I don’t know how to fight.”

“But now, I’m a man and I feel like it’s important for a man to know how to throw a fist. So now, I’m going in and I need a rematch. You do not deserve that money.”

“Give me two months and 15 training sessions, and I’ll be ready. That prize money should be mine.”

Speed Darlington added that he plans to use
“juju” (voodoo) to gain an edge in the rematch.

The rivalry between the two artists began when Darlington invited Portable to perform at his show and offered him N500,000.

Portable rejected the offer, mocked Darlington for being “poor”, and claimed his performance fee was N20 million.

The dispute escalated when Darlington accused Portable of insulting his mother, prompting Portable to challenge him to a boxing match.
