President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday, held a meeting at State House with National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu and Chief of Defence Staff Christopher Musa.
Gatekeepers News reports that meeting is in response to escalating security issues in some parts of the country, particularly in Plateau and Benue states.
Recall that the president returned to the country late on Monday after 19 days in France and the United Kingdom.
During his absence from the country, there were reports of killings and abductions in many parts of the country.
There have been repeated violent attacks on communities in Plateau, resulting in loss of lives and property.
In Benue State, armed men raided communities in Ukum and Logo local government areas, leading to numerous deaths.
The violent attacks in the two states have sparked public concern and political criticism, especially over the president’s absence during the crisis.
