Global music icon, Robyn Fenty popularly known as Rihanna surprised fans and the media at the 2025 Met Gala by revealing that she is expecting her third child at 2025 Met Gala on Monday.
Gatekeepers News reports that though fashionably late, the singer surprised the public with her stunning appearance on the red carpet at the event held in New York City.
The fashion mogul was dressed in a custom ensemble by Marc Jacobs. It featured a cropped barathea wool Spencer jacket, a wool bustier bodysuit, and a pinstriped skirt with a bustle.
The pregnancy marks Rihanna’s third child with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky. The couple have two young sons; RZA, 2, and Rahzel, 1.
The singer did not share the baby’s gender or due date.
This year’s theme ‘Superfine: Tailoring Black Style’, celebrating the influence of Black fashion and tailoring.
The Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems was dressed in a custom ensemble by British-Ghanaian designer Ozwald Boateng. She wore a deep blue shirt dress adorned with a green print, complemented by a necktie, and hair ribbon.
Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy was dressed in in a regal red wool tuxedo paired with an oxblood eelskin cape, also designed by Ozwald Boateng.
Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe popularly known as Ayra Starr was dressed in a sleek, unconventional floor-length gown.
