Crystal Palace Beat Manchester City To Win First FA Cup Title

Crystal Palace, on Saturday, secured their first-ever FA Cup title with a 1-0 victory over Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.

Gatekeepers News reports that Eberechi Eze’s first-half strike proved decisive, as Crystal Palace withstood heavy pressure from the reigning Premier League champions.

Despite Manchester City dominating possession and creating more chances, Palace stood firm defensively and made their moment count through a clinical counter-attack.

Erling Haaland led the attack for Manchester City, with Kevin De Bruyne positioned in midfield. Crystal Palace also fielded their strongest lineup, including Jean-Philippe Mateta and Eberechi Eze.

Although City controlled 80% of possession, they struggled to convert it into goals and were repeatedly denied by Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson. Palace capitalized on a rare opportunity in the 24th minute, with Eze scoring from a swift break.

During the match, Henderson handled the ball just outside the box, but no red card was issued. City also missed a crucial penalty, and a second Palace goal was disallowed for offside.

In the end, City failed to win any goal, while Palace held on for a historic victory, ending a long winless streak against their opponents.
