Former United States President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer that has spread to his bones.
Gatekeepers News reports that Biden’s office in a statement on Sunday, disclosed that he was diagnosed on Friday after he saw a doctor for urinary symptoms.
The statement reads, “Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms.”
“On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”
“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.”
The former president’s office noted that Biden and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.
The diagnosis comes after the 82-year-old politician withdrew from 2024 presidential, amid concerns over his health and advanced age. He was succeeded as the Democratic nominee by Vice President Kamala Harris.
