Operatives of Anambra police command have arrested six suspects for armed robbery and vandalism in the state.
Gatekeepers News reports that Tochukwu Ikenga, police spokesman in Anambra, announced this in a statement on Wednesday.
Ikenga noted that the operatives recovered one English pistol and vandalised electric cables from the suspects.
He added that the command has also declared a manhunt for a notorious cultist and gunrunner known as “Kiss me”.
The spokesman said two of the suspects identified as Anagor Chinedu and Anagor Rapuluchukwu were arrested at Ifite village on May 19, adding that they have confessed to being members of the “baggars confraternity”.
The statement reads, “Police records breakthroughs in Anambra south senatorial district with the arrest of six suspects and declares manhunt for a notorious criminal and gunrunner known as ‘Kiss Me’ terrorising Oko community; recovers one English pistol and vandalized electric cables.”
“Following this, the security team has sustained their security offensive in the area, arrested six suspects over armed robbery and vandalism in the Oko community and environs.”
“In another development, the operatives responded swiftly to a distress call of some miscreants sighted vandalizing electrical wires at the permanent site of the Federal Polytechnic Oko and arrested four suspects: one Chukwuka Usulor, Chukwuemeka Michael, Ikenna Oke and Ebuka Okeke.”
