Graduate Trainee Operator (Soya Preparatory Line)

Job Description:
- The Soya Preparatory Line Operator will play a crucial role in our production process. You will oversee the preparatory line operations, ensuring the efficient processing of soya beans into high-quality oil products. Your responsibilities include operating and maintaining the preparatory line equipment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and housekeeping standards, and ensuring the production of top-grade soya oil.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor the soya preparatory line equipment, including cleaners, dehullers, and extruders, to process soya beans efficiently and extract high-quality oil.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks on processed soya oil, adjust processing parameters as needed, and ensure compliance with quality specifications. Implement corrective actions to maintain product quality.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance on preparatory line equipment, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with the maintenance team for repairs. Keep equipment in optimal working condition to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, industry regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. Identify potential safety hazards and take preventive measures. Report incidents promptly and participate in safety training programs.
- Process Optimization: Continuously monitor preparatory line processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment readings, quality control data, maintenance tasks, and housekeeping duties. Prepare reports and documentation as required by management.
- Housekeeping and GMP: Ensure cleanliness and organization within the preparatory line area, adhering to GMP standards. Regularly clean equipment, dispose of waste properly and maintain a tidy workspace to create a safe and hygienic environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- B.Sc. or equivalent. Additional technical education or certification in food processing, Mechanical engineering, or related fields is preferred.
- Minimum of 0-3 years of experience operating refining equipment in the food processing industry, specifically in Soya oil processing.
- Strong understanding of soya oil processing, preparatory line equipment operation, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with PLC systems and automated controls is advantageous.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Ability to conduct precise quality checks, maintain accurate records, adjust processing parameters, and ensure cleanliness in the preparatory line area, meeting SOP, and GMP cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report operational status effectively.

Job Description:
- The Tracking/Logistics Support Officer is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective tracking of trucks and inventory management. This role focuses on monitoring all local dispatches, ensuring accurate and timely updates of shipment tracking statuses, and maintaining comprehensive records. The officer will manage inbound and outbound deliveries, plan inventory replenishment, and ensure proper stock counts for dispatch.
Responsibilities
- Truck Tracking and Monitoring: Monitor all local dispatches and track the movement of trucks to ensure timely deliveries. Update shipment tracking statuses accurately and promptly in the system for online visibility. Provide real-time information on the status and location of trucks within the company premises.
- Inventory Management: Plan and execute timely inventory replenishment to avoid stockouts and ensure continuous availability of materials. Coordinate and manage outbound and inbound deliveries, including the offloading and loading processes. Conduct proper stock counts for dispatch and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Reconciliation of Stock: Regularly reconcile physical stock with system records to ensure accuracy. Identify and resolve discrepancies in stock counts and implement corrective actions.
- Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all logistics activities, both in hard copy and electronic formats. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible for audit and compliance purposes.
- Truck Availability Management: Assign trucks to appropriate locations within the company and provide information on their status and availability. Coordinate with drivers and logistics personnel to ensure trucks are ready and available for dispatch as needed.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare and submit regular reports on truck movements, inventory levels, and logistics operations. Communicate effectively with internal teams, drivers, and external partners to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies and safety regulations. Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the logistics department.
- Assigned Tasks: Attend to other assigned tasks and responsibilities as required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary by the management.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- ND, B.Sc., HND degree or equivalent; additional certifications in Tracking or Logistics Management are a plus.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience of Proven experience in Tracking or Logistics coordination roles.
- Keen attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and identification of areas for improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate with transporters and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address and resolve challenges in real time.
- Familiarity with Tracking software and MS Office applications.
