Renowned Kenyan author and literary icon, Ngugi Wa Thiong’o has passed away at the age of 87.
Gatekeepers News reports that Wanjiku Wa Ngugi, the deceased’s daughter, announced his demise in a Facebook post on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
Some notable books written by Thiong’o include The River Between, Weep Not Child, Perals of Blood, A Grain of Wheat, Devil on the Cross, and Matigari.
