Fubara Meets Tinubu In Lagos Amid Ongoing Suspension

Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, paid a visit to President Bola Tinubu at his Lagos residence on Tuesday.

Gatekeepers Newreports that the two engaged in a closed-door discussion, the details of which have not been disclosed.

This meeting marks the second time Fubara and Tinubu have met behind closed doors, following their meeting on March 18 when Fubara was suspended from office amid political tensions in the state. Tinubu had suspended Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Odu, for six months, citing the need to restore stability in the state.

The President had also appointed retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ibas as the state’s administrator to oversee governance during the suspension period.
