Salah – Palmer – Rice Among Nominees For PFA Player Of The Year Award

Six players were nominated on Friday for Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Men’s Player of the Year award.

Gatekeepers News reports that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah who contributed 29 goals and 18 assists to Liverpool’s Premier League title win, was among the nominees.

Other nominees are Liverpool player, Alexis Mac Allister; Arsenal player, Declan Rice; Chelsea player, Cole Palmer; Newcastle striker, Alexander Isak; and Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes.

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer, who was recently named PFA Young Player of the Year (2023/24), earned a spot on the senior shortlist despite Chelsea’s inconsistent season.

Arsenal’s Declan Rice delivered a standout campaign in midfield, recording nine goals and ten assists, his best tally to date.

Alexander Isak had an impressive run, scoring 23 goals and playing a key role in Newcastle’s qualification for the Champions League, as well as their League Cup triumph.

On the other hand, amid Manchester United’s difficult season, Bruno Fernandes ended the league campaign with eight goals and ten assists.

The 2024 PFA Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Manchester on August 19.
