A fresh power outage has affected three communities in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has confirmed.
Gatekeepers News reports that the affected communities include Utako, parts of Jabi, and Wuye, which have been plunged into darkness since the incident.
AEDC attributed the blackout to a technical fault in a statement on Tuesday.
“Dear customers in Utako, parts of Jabi and Wuye. We regret to inform you that the ongoing power outage is due to technical fault,” the statement read.
The power utility firm assured customers that its dedicated team of technicians was working tirelessly to resolve the fault.
“Our dedicated technical team is working tirelessly to restore power as quickly as possible,” the statement added.
AEDC apologised for the inconvenience and appreciated customers’ patience and understanding.
“We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to serve you better.”
However, the company did not specify when power would be restored to the affected communities.
