President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Aminu Dantata, the elder statesman, business mogul, and philanthropist.
Gatekeepers News reports that Tinubu mourned Dantata in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, his special adviser on information and strategy on Saturday.
The president praised his lifelong dedication to Nigeria’s development through enterprise, public service, and charity.
He said Dantata made sterling contributions to Nigeria’s growth and development through decades of enterprise, service, and philanthropy.
Tinubu highlighted Dantata’s impact not only in business but also in public administration, notably his role as commissioner for planning and development in the old Kano State.
The president also acknowledged the late philanthropist’s longstanding commitment to humanitarian efforts, especially in the areas of education and healthcare.
Tinubu added that Dantata’s wise counsel and support were deeply encouraging and beneficial.
He extended his condolences to the Dantata family, the government, and people of Kano state, stating that the country has lost an illustrious son.
