Edo Govt Secures OPay's ₦1.2bn Scholarship Deal For Ambrose Alli University
Edo State Government has secured a landmark Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnership between OPay Digital Services and Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.

Gatekeepers Newreports that the partnership is part of OPay’s national scholarship program, a ₦1.2 billion commitment to supporting education across 20 tertiary institutions in Nigeria over the next decade.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing and presentation of scholarship awards will occur on Monday, July 14, 2025, by noon, at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, as announced by Sally Suleiman, Special Adviser to the Edo Governor on Sustainable Development Goals.

“This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 4 — ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. We thank OPay for their partnership and trust, and we remain focused on bringing development closer to our people through meaningful and measurable action,” he added.
