Chelsea Thrash PSG 3-0 to Clinch Club World Cup Title

Chelsea won the Club World Cup crown with a 3-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday.

Gatekeepers News reports that powered by a dazzling performance from Cole Palmer, who netted twice and provided an assist, the UEFA Conference League winners stunned Champions League holders PSG with a ruthless first-half display.

The victory marks Chelsea’s second trophy of the season, having lifted the Conference League in May.

Among the high-profile spectators was U.S. President Donald Trump, as both clubs fielded their top stars. Ousmane Dembele led PSG’s front line, while Palmer and Joao Pedro starred in attack for Chelsea.

Palmer broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute and doubled Chelsea’s lead just eight minutes later with another clinical finish.

He then set up Pedro, who chipped past Gianluigi Donnarumma in the 43rd minute to complete a dominant half for Enzo Maresca’s men.

Despite efforts from both sides in the second half, PSG failed to find a breakthrough. Their night worsened when Joao Neves was shown a red card for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair.

The loss ended PSG boss Luis Enrique’s perfect record in finals, suffering his first defeat in 12 appearances.

Meanwhile, Chelsea extended their run in international finals, securing a sixth consecutive win.
