Noni Madueke Joins Arsenal From Chelsea

Arsenal have signed the England international Noni Madueke on a long-term deal from Chelsea.

Gatekeepers News reports that the 23-year-old forward, originally from north London, makes the switch after featuring 92 times across all competitions for Chelsea.

Madueke’s football journey began at Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur before moving to PSV Eindhoven in 2018. There, he broke into the senior team as a teenager, quickly gaining recognition for his pace, strength, and direct attacking approach.

Madueke made 80 senior appearances for PSV before his return to England in January 2023 with Chelsea.

Internationally, he has risen through England’s youth ranks and made his senior debut in September last year, recording an assist in a match against Finland. He has earned seven caps for the Three Lions to date.

Sporting Director Andrea Berta praised the acquisition, highlighting Madueke’s consistency, technical ability, and versatility as a wide forward.

He noted the player’s strong development and readiness to contribute significantly to Arsenal’s attacking depth.

Manager Mikel Arteta also expressed his excitement, describing Madueke as one of the Premier League’s most gifted young wingers.

Arteta emphasised the player’s top-flight and international experience, saying his addition will boost the quality and competitiveness of the squad.

Madueke will wear the No. 20 shirt and is expected to join the squad in early August after fulfilling his Club World Cup duties.

The transfer is pending the finalisation of standard regulatory processes.
