Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the nomination of Rt. Hon. Kabir Adjoto as Chairman designate of the Edo State Local Government Service Commission.
Gatekeepers News reports that Adjoto’s nomination was announced in a statement made available on Monday by Umar Musa Ikhilor, Secretary to the State Government.
Adjoto, a seasoned politician and community leader from Akoko-Edo Local Government Area, is a former Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly.
With a background in geography from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, Adjoto has held various positions during his tenure in the House of Assembly, including Chief Whip, Deputy Chief Whip, and Chairman of several committees.
He also served as Special Adviser to the Governor on Parliamentary Affairs from 2019 to 2020.
The nomination is however subjected to the Edo State House of Assembly’s approval.
