Lookman Deletes Atalanta Content On Instagram Amid Inter Milan Transfer Push

Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has deleted all Atalanta-related content from his Instagram page as tensions rise over his potential transfer to Inter Milan.

Gatekeepers News reports that move comes shortly after Atalanta turned down Inter’s latest bid of €42 million plus €3 million in add-ons for the 27-year-old forward.

Despite Lookman reportedly reaching personal terms with the Nerazzurri, Atalanta are holding firm on their €60 million valuation.

In what seems to be a reaction to the club’s stance, Lookman unfollowed Atalanta on Instagram, removed the club’s name from his bio, deleted all his images in Atalanta colours including his profile photo, and erased related posts.

The Nigerian international was also absent from Atalanta’s pre-season match against RB Leipzig in Germany on Saturday. Local reports revealed that he sustained a calf injury and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.

Lookman, who joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022 for €10.8 million, has netted 52 goals in 118 appearances. He made headlines with a historic hat-trick in the 2023/24 Europa League final, securing Atalanta’s first-ever European title.

He currently holds the title of CAF African Footballer of the Year, succeeding Victor Osimhen.
