Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has shared a prophecy about how he believes his life will end.
Gatekeepers News reports that the pastor said it will happen on a Sunday, after attending church and eating pounded yam.
Speaking on Thursday during a sermon titled “Possess Your Possessions” at the 73rd Annual RCCG Convention tagged The Overcomers, the revered 83-year-old cleric encouraged the faithful to pray fervently for divine health and healing.
He said, “If you are healthy and pray the way l’m going to ask you to pray, you may never be sick again.”
“I’m sure I have told you how I will go (referring to his death) if the Lord tarries. I will go to church, it is going to be on Sunday. I can tell you that.”
“If you say, “how do you know?” Leave that out of the question. I will go to church, have a wonderful service, come back home, eat pounded yam and go.”
“Let me hear somebody say loud and clear, I will never be sick again.”
The cleric further said he is focused on preaching holiness and not prosperity.
He said, “Prosperity is yours. I know that there are some people who have been waiting for that so they can have something to criticise.”
“That is all right. Everybody knows I’m not a prosperity preacher. I’m a holiness preacher.”
