President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Idris Olorunnimbe, founder of The Temple, as the new chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
Gatekeepers News reports that this was announced in a statement on Tuesday by Bayo Onanuga, the president’s special adviser on information and strategy,
Olorunnimbe had earlier been appointed in March as chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) board, but the appointment was rescinded in July and replaced with Tanko Umaru Al-Makura, former Nasarawa Governor.
Onanuga noted that Tinubu also retained Aminu Waida as the NCC’s executive vice chairman and chief executive officer.
