FG Begins Project Inspection – Citizens’ Engagement In South-East

The federal government has begun a three-day citizens’ engagement and project inspection tour in Enugu and Ebonyi states.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement by Rabiu Ibrahim, media aide to the minister of information and national orientation, Mohammed Idris, noted that the tour began on Thursday in Enugu.

The delegation includes officials from the ministry and its agencies, members of the national communications team, executives of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON), the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU), and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

Speaking in Enugu on Wednesday, Idris said the tour will feature a citizens’ engagement forum at the Enugu State Government House on Thursday at 6 p.m. to rub minds and get feedback from various stakeholders.

He added that the same format will be followed in Ebonyi State, where Governor Ogbonna Erishi Nwifuru will host the team on Friday, August 15, 2025. Both events will be broadcast live on national news networks.

Represented by Chinasa Ogbodo, the ministry’s permanent secretary, Idris delivered President Bola Tinubu’s goodwill message to the people of the south-east, assuring them that the Renewed Hope agenda “is real and is working.”
