Over 300 Die In Pakistan Following Torrential Rains – Flash Floods

At least 300 people have lost their lives in Pakistan as devastating floods, triggered by heavy rainfall, sweep across parts of the country.

Gatekeepers News reports that National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) confirmed the death toll on Saturday morning, warning that the figure could rise as rescue efforts continue.

Most of the fatalities were recorded in the mountainous Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where flash floods and collapsing houses claimed many lives. At least 21 others sustained injuries, while scores remain missing.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall alert for the north-western region in the coming hours, urging residents to take precautionary measures.

Neighboring India and Nepal have also faced severe impacts from torrential rains over the past week, including flooding and other rain-related incidents.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said both civilian and military teams have been deployed for rescue and relief operations.

He extended condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and expressed sympathy for the injured.
