‘She Uplifted Her Community’ — Tinubu Mourns Yilwatda’s Mother

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commiserated with Nentawe Yilwatda, national chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), following the death of his mother, Lydia Yilwatda.

Gatekeepers News reports that Yilwatda’s mother passed away on Sunday morning at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital at the age of 83.

In a statement issued by his special adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the president paid tribute to the late matriarch, describing her as “a woman of virtue who lived a life dedicated to faith, service, and the uplifting of her community.”

Tinubu urged Yilwatda to take comfort in the purposeful life his mother lived and to accept her passing as the will of God.

The statement added, “The President prays for the repose of Mama Yilwatda’s soul and asks God to grant Prof. Yilwatda, the entire family, and all those she left behind the strength to bear this loss.”
