Edo State Security Corps Recruits Training Extended To Wednesday - Ohonbamu

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has approved the nomination of five individuals as Commissioner-Designates for the state.

Gatekeepers News reports that this was announced in a statement by Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., Secretary to the State Government on Thursday, 21 August, 2025.

The nominees include Hon. (Barr) Vincent Osas Uwadiae, Hon. Etin-osa Ogbeiwi, Hon. Saturday Uwuilekhue Idehen (JP), Hon. Charity Amayaenvbo, and Professor Roland Itoyah Otaru, (SAN).

Hon. (Barr.) Vincent Osas Uwadiae is a distinguished legal practitioner and member of the International Bar Association. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) (Hons) from

Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma

and a Master’s Degree in Business

Administration. He previously served as Chairman of the Edo State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission.

Hon. Etin-osa Ogbeiwi is a Nigerian politician and seasoned administrator. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy and Religion from Edo State University and has served as a Member of the Edo State House of Assembly. He is internationally trained in project monitoring, evaluation and governance.

Hon. Saturday Uwuilekhue Idehen (JP)

Hon. Saturday Uwuilekhue Idehen (JP) is a Nigerian politician and administrator from Edo State. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from the University of Benin. He has previously served as a State Commissioner and as Chairman of Orhionmwon Local Government.

Hon. Charity Amayaenvbo is a Nigerian politician and administrator. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Administration and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Benin. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, with extensive experience spanning both private and public service.

Professor Roland Itoyah Otaru, SAN, is a renowned legal practitioner and academic from Edo State. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) from the University of Benin, a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Ife, and a Ph.D. in Law from Babcock University. He is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Fellow of multiple professional institutes and an Honorary Member of the Body of Benchers.

The state government noted that the nominations of the individuals will be forwarded to the Edo State House of Assembly for consideration and confirmation.
